Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Medical science has long recognized that oxygen is necessary for life and for proper healing. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) applies this knowledge in a unique treatment that harnesses the power of oxygen to stimulate the body’s own natural healing ability. Our client has been in operation since 1995 run by Dr. John Smith and Dr. Don Smith.

How Does HBOT Work?

“Hyper” means increased and “baric” means pressure. During HBOT the client breathes 100% medical grade oxygen in a specially designed chamber under increased atmospheric pressure. The entire body is super-saturated with healing, life-giving oxygen. Blood oxygen levels increases 10 to 15 times higher than normal. Oxygen is infused into all other body fluids and tissues as well, including the brain, bone marrow and lymph. Learn more about What is HBot?

Worldwide research confirms that HBOT provides the following benefits:

  1. Promotes the growth of new blood vessels
  2. Regenerates diseased or damaged tissue
  3. Helps the body fight infections
  4. Stimulates nerve and brain cell recovery
  5. Reduces fatigue from chronic conditions
  6. Neutralizes and detoxifies toxic substances
  7. Speeds recovery from surgical procedures including plastic and elective surgeries.
  8. Plus More – See Benefits of Hbot

Conditions Treated By HBOT

HBOT is not new. It has been used over the past century primarily to treat divers stricken with decompression illness (the bends). Modern medicine has expanded the use of HBOT to other conditions which are caused or complicated by hypoxia (insufficient oxygen). In most cases it is used as an adjunctive therapy in an overall medical treatment protocol. Learn more about Common use for HBot.

What Are Treatments Like?

HBOT is safe, painless and non-invasive. We use a large monoplace (one person) chamber with almost 360 degree visibility. You will lie down comfortably in the chamber while the atmospheric pressure is gradually increased. The only discomfort you may experience is a sensation of popping or fullness in the ears as the pressure changes. During the treatment you can relax, listen to music, sleep and even watch TV. A technician will be in the room at all times.

Treatments generally last from 1-2 hours, depending on the condition being treated. The number of treatments needed for significant benefit also varies.

Please note that a consultation with the doctor is required before starting HBOT.
